Description

This module builds on the first semester and applies knowledge to a contemporary spatial growth challenge in an international city. Through a case study approach, with a field trip to an international city, the module focuses on understanding morphological growth patterns, mapping contemporary challenges and investigating new models of growth. This will include a focus onsite appraisal, strategic framework development, visioning and design development. It will discuss the evolution of urban form framed around a range of key urban theories, enabling exploration of areas such as growth patterns, critical regeneration and development, eco-districts and the development of ideas around public-realm
